Our mission: a healthier community for all cats

At SNIP - Spay Neuter Iberia Project, we were founded on the urgent need to address cat overpopulation in New Iberia La . Our main goal is to foster a compassionate community by educating the public, reducing shelter overcrowding, and improving the lives of countless cats. Join us in making a lasting difference.

Inspired by compassion, driven by action

The heart of SNIP beats with a profound compassion for animals . We recognized the critical need to combat overpopulation and its devastating effects, particularly on cats in our community. By engaging the public, educating on responsible pet ownership, and implementing effective spay/neuter programs, we actively prevent shelter overcrowding and give every animal a chance at a healthier life.

Our impact: a healthier feline community

Since our inception in 2014, SNIP - Spay Neuter Iberia Project has made significant strides in New  Iberia La . We are incredibly proud to have fixed numerous felines, directly impacting their well-being. These achievements are a testament to the dedication of our team and the support of our community, ensuring healthier, happier lives for countless felines.

Our unique approach: care beyond procedure

At SNIP, our commitment goes beyond just spay/neuter and return. We believe in comprehensive care. If a community cat is injured or sick when it comes into our program, it receives necessary veterinary attention and must be cleared for health before being released. This meticulous approach ensures that every cat we interact with has the best possible chance at a healthy, comfortable life back in its colony or a new home.

"SNIP has transformed our community's approach to animal welfare, showing true dedication and compassion for every community cat."
